About Us

Free Forever Ruler started with a simple, annoying moment: we needed to measure something small, had no ruler nearby, and every "online ruler" we tried was either the wrong size, cluttered, or hard to read on a phone.

So we built the tool we wanted: a clean, fast, actual-size online ruler that works in centimeters, millimeters and inches on any device, with honest calibration so the scale matches the real world.

What we believe

• Accuracy first. A ruler that isn't to scale isn't a ruler. That's why we offer three calibration methods.
• Free forever. No sign-ups, no paywalls and no trials. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising.
• Privacy by default. Your calibration is stored only in your browser. We never see what you measure.
• Fast everywhere. The site is static, lightweight and served from a global network so it loads instantly.
